Do you have memories from your childhood of riding and dragging your feet on an urban scooter? well, if you don’t and even if you do, the e-Kick is here for you. Made in collaboration between Peugeot and Micro Mobility, the scooter will run on battery to a maximum range of 7.5 miles.

Started as a bicycle maker, the company already has a lineup of vehicles other than the regular ones, and the e-Kick is just another new type to their list. It wasn’t a standalone release and it was unveiled along with Peugeot’s 3008 crossober SUV.The SUV has a special docking station in the boot space to charge up the scooter.

And you have guessed it right, the e-Kick is a battery-assisted vehicle that can reach up to 15 mph with the electric motor powering the rear wheel. It Doesn’t come with proprietary connectors and you’ll be able to charge the scooter through a regular power socket, capable of fully charging in an hour. the scooter will be easy to transport since it can be rolled down to its front wheel and you wouldn’t have to carry it with you.

This electric scooter will be sold in the final quarter of 2016 by both Peugeot and Micro. There are number of major innovations in this product, like the “Motion Control” electric assistance. While you still have to push it yourself, the scooter optimizes the amount of electric assistance based on your movements. The on board foot bread has a regenerative braking system which charges the battery each time you apply braking force for that little bit extra juice for the last mile. Also due to its innovative design, the user can even pull it in it’s folded state when it is not in use. As of now, there is no pricing details available.
